Last post from Spring '09...

Well... it's finals week. That time of year where every college student in the nation freaks out cuz "Freak! I Never Actually Learned this Stuff". But at the same time, it's a chance for us to reminisce and remember everything you've gone through over the past semester and year. There's also two dead days in there for you to go do whatever your heart feels like... i mean, study of course... :)
Welcome week stuff is all set for next year, I'm an uncle for our family group and i also get to help head the event group which is where we put together the Phil Wickham concert, comedian, and dance throughout the week. This also means I get to move in a week before everyone else is allowed in. :) Melody and LindsayMeg. are also aunts, Pancho the dad, and Lindsay Adam is the mom. :)
The football team, after a great 12-2 season and run to the national semifinals, recieved their rings this past week. Just like to point out that we beat Hardin Simmons TWICE to get this thing... :)
Dr. Baucom, after 18 years of service as President of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, is stepping down from that position and retiring, to become Chancellor. SearchCru put together a photo album to thank him for his service to the school.
And of course as finals DO apporach rapidly, you've GOT to go to the lake to relax a bit! This is us jumping off some smaller boulders, maybe 20 feet up. There's another cliff that's 45-50 feet high that we jump off of. SCARIEST thing EVER!!! But WAY worth it... :)
So as my last post as a Crusader Freshman... it's been a blast. I've learned a lot, experienced so much, grown to love some many people that i'll know for the rest of my life, gotten in trouble, swam in Burt Pond, failed a test or 2, gotten on the dean's list, been an intramural champion, come home really really REALLY late on a school night, pulled all-nighters, danced until my feet hurt, spent more money than i had, and had quite possibly the greatest experience of any college student in the world this past year. Thank you Mary-Hardin Baylor... and i'll see you next August. :)

Oh, how that reminds me of good times at UMHB, too.
